It is uncountable the number of times I've seen that legend from Scotland yell "Andrew, you're a SICK OLD MAN!" at the funeral procession. Extra points for the follow-up vid from the back of the crowd, where he's pulled to the ground, gets up with the "help" of a policeman, yells "DISGUSTING" back at the procession, and then says "Oi, I've done nothin' wrong" to the cop who's gently leading him away to arrest him. It has given me immeasurable life.

You all and Defector need to team up to get an interview with the mad lad.

Oh, where to even begin. The British press of all stripes seem convinced that the entire older generation were absolutely besotted with the monarchy. As a member of that cohort, I should assure them that I'm not. And nor was or is anyone else of my age that I know in the U.K. Plus a large number of people are basically utterly indifferent. The most disturbing signs of all are the crackdowns on even the tiniest bit of, ooh, opposition or criticism of the guilded bastards. It's time to exhume my 45 of God Save the Queen.

On the one hand, the postponements of the Chelsea matches will give Potter more time on the training ground to coach the players in his tactics and philosophy. On the other hand, these wretched postponements because some inbred Battenburg freak monarch unpredictably died at the age of 96 are ruining my fucking Fantasy league. My friends are all climbing up the league while I languish because two of my top points winners, Reece James and Luis Diaz, aren't playing. This is absurd, what an unserious country the UK is.

No, the bottom of the barrel was for St. Ron the Munificent, when Nancy insisted that the funeral cortege go for a little drive between 4 and 7pm, so that everyone trying to get home that day would always remember St. Ron when they finally can collapse into the Barcalounger 2.5 hours late.

Not that I, as a resident of the Greater DC Metropolitan Area, am annoyed by memories of that or anything...

But, anyway, if it makes them happy, I don't see the issue. I'm not stuck in traffic or am forced to wait in a line to take a lap through whatever room they have the body lying/laying in. No different than the marriage of one of the princes, a 21-gun salute for a president, or white smoke at St. Peters for a fresh pope, or a purge of military leadership in a random banana republic (defined as you see fit), just with 8-hour waits in line to see a coffin draped in drapes. Also, if it keeps Chelsea from losing for one or two weekends, sounds like a win to me.
