Long live The Nib.

How is the cartoon somehow both insulting to Muslims and also vaguely antisemitic in its depiction? Anyways, Eli Valley rocks, and Ben garrison’s works are fascinating for all the wrong reasons. Fire the rest of these clods. Or better yet shutter wapo and the nyt entirely.

"Or better yet shutter wapo and the nyt entirely."

This is the nuclear option, and the only correct one.

My fellow Gen-Xer and friend Ted Rall was fired decades ago. I think he was good. So yes, fire the rest.

Rejoice! Ted Rall is still around, and just as incisive as ever. You can see his work every week at rall.com and gocomics.com.

I can't say that Ramirez is the dead-worst cartoonist out there (looking at you, Ben Garrison), but he isn't good. And, something tells me, he doesn't think of himself as a Repub ghoul but just a gentle centrist, pointing out that Obama may, or may not, be the Antichrist. Well, probably not, but...?

I don't know if anyone hear reads it, but 1-900-HOTDOG had a guest author post an article that was a fairly crushing "review" of Ramirez's book on how to do editorial cartooning, "The Recipe for the Perfect Cartoon". Read about how Ramirez does cartoons, and you'll discover it's worse than you think.

Also, you should probably get a subscription (through Patreon) and read all their stuff. And listen to their podcasts - the podcasts have no advertising, no "But seriously, this is easily the best mattress out there" reads. It's good. About 3/4ths of the time.
