At the end of the day, Jonah Peretti took a bunch of money from loan sharks, had too much ego and hubris to believe anything other than he was some kind of media savant (and not just burning through someone elses money) and then allowed his company to die by a thousand layoffs and reorgs as he kept insisting "We're doing this so we dont have to do it again in the future" and that "the economic winds are against us"
He's just a massive fucking failure. Full stop. And hundreds of workers have had their lives turned upside down, lost health insurance, many unceremoniously pushed out while heavily pregnant or on maternity leave — all because he's a fucking failure.

Just another timely and depressing reminder of why I’m so thankful for places like Discourse Blog and Defector. Worker owned shops is the way.
