I really don't get why so many people who go to protests cannot help themselves with these cutesy memeified (it's a word) signs. It just seems so off base

This author wants people to stop being racist and discriminatory towards people of color. She wants people to not project negativity or harmful ideals towards human just based on their skin color, and to not be negatively treated just because of their body. Which I support. Yet... she uses language like “small dick energy” which inherently supports a negative connotation about people who have a smaller sized penis. She uses language that supports the shaming of people based upon a characteristic of their body. Is she aware of the hypocrisy in this?

No human being should be treated unfairly, harmed, or disrespected just because of their body, any aspect of their body. Period.

I would be more inclined to say that the reference to small dick energy is potentially offensive to those who may struggle with sexual identity and personal validation around their genitalia size and function. That being said, BDE can be a mentality that has nothing to do with one’s genitalia at all. If we really want to unpack this, we could bring in references like the “Skinny Girl” food and beverage brand or statements like “the fat kid at the party.” One denotes better and lesser-than. This conversation is really more about marginalization than signage. Dig deeper.

White men that envy black men to the point where it turns to hatred. White men that wish their dicks where desired like a BBC.

I've just found it stupid that small dick size as a pejorative is still common and accepted. It's not really offensive, just again, stupid.

This is a good post on an important topic, but ALSO: "My mind raced to unpack the tiny package" is very funny.
