Her and Omar are the two bravest reps I’ve seen in my life. Idk how they do it. Aside from Barbara Lee voting against both Afghanistan and Iraq, (especially the former) can’t think of doing something more guaranteed to have you labeled a traitor but also knowing you’re right.

I swear to God if that Stephen Breyer Ice Cream dude shows his face again ...

I was just thinking "he better not stink up the place with his mealy mouthed milquetoast bullshit"

Be cool with SBIC. Is he a supporter of Israel? Sure is. But he seems pretty much in-line with other typical liberal/progressive causes. Political purity doesn't strike me as a good way to continue to build coalitions and win elections.

Though...abortion seems to have made things interesting in Ohio...

I'm posting on a fuckin' blog dude, not "building coalitions"

Yeah I don't feel a need to "be cool" or be in coalition with genocide supporters thanks

Your prerogative, of course.

Have fun with the next Trump Administration. Just saying that decisions have consequences, and sometimes being an adult is choosing the less shitty of two shitty options.

wow what original sentiment. never heard anything like that before. You're quite a bold thinker. And this is all definitely relevant to me saying I disagreed with someone in the comments of a fucking blog

Nope, not even remotely original (I think I saw it in a Tom Tomorrow cartoon from about 15 years ago). I make no pretense about my analysis of political issues, which is why I clean up hazardous waste sites for a living (c.f., the drums of radioactive waste off to the left of this message) and not working as a K-Street lobbyist or a Congressional staffer or writing oh-so-clever think pieces for Politico or Axios or The Hill. But it is shocking how many people have not made that "best of two shitty options" calculation.
