Roughly 3 hours after this shooting, the city council of the "progressive" city I live in vote to give our police department $1.15M for hiring incentives and to run a national ad campaign for our police department.
The sooner we realize that the police are the domestic enforcement arm of private property and hierarchy, the better.
I’m annoyed as fuck that we have way too many liberals, despite all the evidence to the contrary (even more mind boggling when they’re of a demographic that’s regularly targeted) that the police are somehow a necessity and are good. Then again, it’s no surprise at this point neither.
Let’s bring back “Fuck the Police” too in addition to ACAB. The former was not just a phrase or slogan, it was a goddamn anthem and ethos. They don’t deserve any respect even if you have a friend or relative who is one. I mean why should we give them any if they will never give it to us?
It’s not just the absolute abdication of duty here, it’s that everything these cowards did actively made the situation worse and deadlier. And still somehow managed to both lionize and victimize themselves afterwards. Fucking pathetic.
