Christ, even if you accept Israel's blatantly false framing, they're admitting to killing 4 innocent journalists just to kill one "terrorist". Is collateral damage at a 400% rate supposed to be acceptable? Was an airstrike the only solution for a country with famously highly-trained special forces and an established presence in the region? These are easy questions to ask, and any organization with a shred of integrity would be asking them.
Even if one accepts the claim that al Sharif was working with Hamas (which I absolute do not, to be clear), it's still not acceptable to murder him! Hamas has a fucking civil side that includes media, and they are (as I understand it) off limits according to the laws of war.
This is still a brazen war crime. I'm honestly kind of amazed they even try to make excuses anymore.
I have nothing but admiration and respect for the intelligence, bravery and compassion of Palestinian journalists. And if anyone claims otherwise in my presence, I will tear their words into tiny meaningless pieces and spit them back out, reformed into the truth.
Contrast this with how the elite media covers journalists who are killed in Ukraine. It really highlights how they're making a decision with how they dehumanize & vilify journalists in Palestine
NBC actually said, in a headline, that Israel killed these journalists. Not that they died in an Israeli attack or even simply that they died. NBC said that Israel killed them.
And yes, it's absolutely disgusting that it's taken this long to even get that half-step towards more objective reporting. It's gross that they still center this bullshit "IsRAeL cLaIMs tHEy wErE haMaS!!11!1!" bullshit without putting Al Jazeera's denial right fucking next to it.

It's all so fucking gross.
They are murderers. The ones who have been upholding this lie, especially now, are murderers. Remember them.
