Background on the Oregon one--they were in front of a light rail station where a MAGA lunatic attacked women of color and killed two people a couple years ago on the train at that stop. The mural was painted to commemorate it.

Why 3 GM cars? Like at the very least I would have expected one GM, one Ford, and one Chrysler. Honestly shocked trump hasn't called for a GM boycott yet

I'm 16 days with out power in Iowa and my friends are still trying to dig themselves out of the Class 3 Hurricane like storm from last week, both physically and financially, I'm thankful they mentioned the storm and tried to bring it to national attention., but I'm glad, Katherine Krueger, you liked the dress.

Joe Biden is NOT FROM SCRANTON. He moved at five years old. I was about to say if he has a single memory of his life in Scranton... but let me amend that to I very much doubt that before his brain melted he didn't have a single memory of his life in Scranton.

And to kick it up a level of abstraction, in the sense that to maybe 20k people Scranton is home, and to maybe another 100k economic emigrants or NEPA locals Scranton is at least a concrete 'place', to the vast majority of America 'Scranton' is a symbol of economic stagnation, poverty, hopelessness and decline. Even before The Office. That symbolism is why they picked Scranton as the US version of Slough in the first place.

In its heyday Scranton was had electric lighting and streetcars before even NYC. Biden left in the 50s, when it the steam was running out but it was still an economic powerhouse. Like Hillary Rodham's Lace-factory-owning-father, his parents were upper middle class, comfortable and left for reasons of advancement, not desperation. To the extent he even remembers Scranton, he remembers a version of Scranton that would be unrecognizeable to the people scum like him even consider once every four years for photo ops at diners.

He never did anything for the place, never even came back until the city became so fucked that by the 80s, the Senator from MBNA could burnish his lunchbucket credentials by coming down to Cooper's and rubbing shoulders with local slobs. The same slobs whose union jobs and protections he was gonna gut, the same slobs he was gonna bury under mountains of credit card usury, the same slobs whose escape hatch into bankruptcy he was gonna weld shut. The same slobs who, if they tried to send their kids off to college to get the fuck out of Scranton, would see those kids crushed under student loans that they couldn't even escape in death.

Fuck this plastic paddy asshole. Joseph 'Robinette' Biden.

The left needs to quit repeating this Joe Biden/Scranton bullshit. It's lib propaganda. It's fucking poorface. He's from Delaware, and fuck Delaware. There's like, 2 linear miles of beach that's ok and the rest of the state is dogshit.
