The problem is you can’t actually challenge anything that’s been said with facts or logic or political analysis so you have to pretend the essay is unfairly targeting Dems/letting Trump and Vance off the hook but it’s not so you reach for this bizzare bs like “victim blaming”
there's not much to argue when somebody wants to try to play 4D chess and claim that the real issue with trump and vance being unrepentant racists is the democrats. I'm not stupid enough to try and pretend that the democrats are some perfect political party (I've been yelling about the obvious illegality / moral horror that drone strikes are for more than16 years now), but I'm also not stupid enough to "well actually" a bunch of racists being racists.
