All of that might be true- but what is the alternative? A king, an autocrat? Like most of other countries? They are usually killing many of their own people who speak against the government or pray to a different god. Horrific wars and all sorts of atrocities have been committed by all sorts of governments since the beginning of time. Much of the world has numerous socitetal problems. At least in US we can have this conversation and not be thrown in jail.
