Agreed. I know it's true but every time I see it written out it just twists the knife even further. Been thinking a lot about how Obama's presidency will be remembered by history (if anyone is even still writing history by that point lmao) and I really, really hope it is not a gauzy recollection. He has a lot of blood on his hands for a lot of different reasons, but this is a big one... particularly since he campaigned specifically on codifying Roe. Just an absolute moral, ethical, and political selling out of the movement that made him president. I hope it torments him, but I know that's wishful thinking.
It's definitely going to be gauzy, just like Clinton's will be (and already is) gauzy. The only (well, main) reason Biden isn't doing as well as either of them is his complete lack of cult of personality. It's the same reason Reagan and Trump are lionized within the GOP and W is still sitting in his bath painting.
Yeah I mean if anything, I guess it's kind of shocking that the Clintons have faced *any* real chin music for their obscene legacies. Why do you think that is? Like obviously they're still doing FINE but I feel like mainstream/low-info voter types look somewhat askance at Bill and Hillary, whereas those same people clap like seals at GWB's watercolors or whatever. Am I wrong about that? What's going on there?
