I think we're probably going to want to stick to our strengths and beats for the blogs we're putting into discourse -- like Aleks said many of us are sports dummies. But that said, we've got the freedom to blog whatever we want to blog, and not all of us are sports dumbs -- I think Paul knows the NBA really well and I'm a big soccer fan, so we could definitely do some posts about that stuff when things intersect or when we feel like it.

We of course love the Deadspin crew dearly but they have their own thing going, and we're not really at the point where we'd be taking guest posts from people outside the little collective yet (because we'd want to pay them to do that and we don't have the money yet lol). So. Probably not a lot of sports content anytime soon, but later down the road? Who knows

This is the kinda situation where I'm having half the conversation in my head.

I'm so psyched that you are all doing Discourse – and my brain is going to HOW CAN THE SITE BE BIG AND ACTUALLY PAY ITS WRITERS AND KEEP GOINGGGGGG – and one of the answers is sports.

I want you to stick to your core for sure. Just tryin' to find those little life hacks to keep the hustle goin'!

Just get David Roth on board. He’s their best writer and can do sports, politics, and points in between.
