They can't even *not criticize* the people actually fighting back. They know which side their bread is buttered on.
Trump's been great for the PMC (in the short/mid term). If you own stock, other than a few flutters in March and back in like '18, this crazy Nazi shit is always money in the pocket, whether it's Trump or Bush or Reagan.…

Trump's been great for the PMC (in the short/mid term). If you own stock, other than a few flutters in March and back in like '18, this crazy Nazi shit is always money in the pocket, whether it's Trump or Bush or Reagan. Their 1% cronies get away with millions and the 10%ers get a couple extra thou in their 401k, until it crashes.
But they hate his boorish boorish manner, and unless there's an active uprising in the streets they get to tell themselves that not being a Republican is the same as being the Opposite of a Republican and they live in as much of an abstracted fantasia as the worst MAGA (Just talk to any Boomer Dem about 'Russia', I dare you). So passively hoping for The Rules to kick in is just too much for them to resist. It's passive, it lets them pretend they're on the left, it assumes some Q-like magical outside confluence of forces will set things right, it reifies protocol and procedure and politesse...
Frankly I've ranted myself into a corner, I dunno how to stick the landing, I'm just gonna note that the guy was in open violation of like, President's rule number one and only the day he swore in still owning the Post Office hotel, and only doubled and tripled down after that. And the only thing that moved the Dems to get up off their asses after three years was him coming after one of their Failkids' no-show fuckaround 500k/yr jobs.
