Hmm.. it’s nesting season for a lot of birds so there’s a lot of parental work to be done. I wonder what’s a bird that maybe doesn’t nest right now or has a pretty beak-off parenting role. 😹

I'm going to suggest the crow. They love popcorn and peanuts, are naturally elegant. They don't even try! If the sun shines on them their heads shimmer blue/purple.

The brewer’s sparrow. Saw some on a run outside Laramie, WY. They just piddle around in the sagebrush without a care in the world, have this long trilling song that inspires others to join the chorus, and just seem chill.

Roadrunner! Hands down! They race across the road in front of our car to live another day--a third day on the weekend! And they are such a cool shape, with a definite 3-day weekend holiday headgear!
