Far be it for me to give the benefit of the doubt to any person in power issuing a statement about a situation that they created, but in this one case, I read it as tut-tutting the Proud Boys and not the people who were protesting the talk, who would in this case be the protestors, not the counter-protestors. The counter-protestors are those who show up to protest the protestors, no?
