Dems have apparently convinced themselves that they'll make up for lost votes on the left by bringing in center right voters, but is anyone convinced that there are enough anti-Trump Republicans out there for that strategy to make any sense?

It's so strange that the conventional wisdom on "undecided voters" is that they're thoughtful, cautious people. They're not! They're overwhelmingly either complete morons or lunatic single-issue nuts! Moving to some imagined agreeable center isn't going to sway those people--agreeing that yes, pit bulls are in fact unfairly maligned in popular culture is going to sway those people.

As it turns out, it's kind of hard to push people towards the center when both parties have chosen to fan the flames of culture war for the last several decades instead of taking action that would benefit a majority of people in America. They've deliberately eroded the center ground, and now they want to plant their flag there? These people want to lose.
