I, for one am sick of being called racist because I'm white. I was raised on a farm, went to school and played ball with people of all races. We simply were friends, or not, mostly based on character, or common interests. My proposal would be to eliminate any reference to race or ethnicity on any application of any kind. Wouldn't it be correct to just view people on what they have done, or what they are capable of doing? Why must we always worry about it, or even focus on it? I believe that Harris, as did E. Warren feels that it helps them in some fashion.. Lets just stop it! If not, why not? I was raised poor, figured out early that I would have to work my butt off if I wanted to have nicer things, or achieve any financial stability. I also believe strongly that equal opportunity means literally just that, not equal outcome.. Its out there, go get it..
