A few articles were actually not bad, but leading with something so shallow as the obvious use of studio makeup was a huge turnoff. This is what I moved on from corporate cable to avoid.
I just prefer publications that are less cavalier and don't run pieces that lead with physical commentary. Had a skin condition in high school and had enough of that there.
You're not friends with Rayne over at Emptywheel by any chance? She's quite the gatekeeper on what Ivy League bloggers can post and comment about. High standards.
Well. I was recommended to your blog, and will now DISENGAGE.
I come to Substack for thoughtful and substantive discourse, not silly hackery like this. I got that on cable which I have also disengaged with.
I am also going to to make sure to inform the person who is recommended you to me of my disappointment in their curation.

It's very easy to read a few blogs on Substack before making the decision to subscribe. Caveat Emptor, good sir or madam.
Didn't subscribe. Just disengaging after reading.

“a few articles were actually not bad” — one of our best-ever reviews! thanks for sampling moe, sorry we weren’t to your taste.
No worries.

You're leaving? You're making the gay birds cry. Do you even believe in irony?
